Your DOS physician develops your treatment plan and sends prescriptions or recommendations to your preferred pharmacy when required. Clinical assessments, diagnoses and prescribing decisions remain the responsibility of your physician.
Registered Dietitian support is included and OHIP-covered as part of your weight management and diabetes care — nutrition and lifestyle guidance alongside your DOS physician.
Most Food Basics × DOS visits are booked online and seen by secure video — often same-day or next-available. No referral, no phone tag, no separate clinic visit. Consultations are covered by OHIP for eligible Ontario residents.
